I am excited today because I can feel Autumn in the air. I am really more of a "Summer" person honestly, but I do love the Fall time in the mountains so much and the cooler temps and abounding color. Especially where I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley. Autumn there becomes like a complete canvas of color, smells, textures, feelings, etc. Very inspiring stuff for an artistic state of mind! I went on a great hike/picnic with a friend of mine and her daughter this past weekend and got some great shots from that trip! I will be sure to share on DA shortly. It's nearly 4th of July weekend here in the U.S. and I am working inside today (reluctantly), but with the windows wide open to capture a rare mid-July cooler breeze. Because of that, I keep being drawn to the noises of nature and other things going on outside my office window, which sound much more intriguing to me right now and it's making it hard to concentrate. Someone is mowing their lawn in the distance. My boyfriend is washing his truck. I hear a dog barking nearby. I am excited for my long weekend away at the Beach and want to be getting ready for that instead of working! I love this time of year and we are enjoying a blissful break

I am working in the yard today and doing so has always brought me a huge sense of satisfaction. I love to dig my hands in the dirt and feel the earth. I like dirt under my fingernails. I love the smells, the textures, the feeling of accomplishment when you look over your work.  I am by no means a "green thumb", but there is something so powerful about that life teaming around you and connecting into that with whatever way you chose....Seeing things growing and thriving around you. I feel a bit philosophical today about it, I guess. ...but I do so very much love the feeling the sun on my skin and being under the blue skies and being conscious
